Our goal is to create a space for every senior to feel welcome, to make new friends, to explore a new interest or to learn a new skill.
We offer a variety of classes, groups and activities that are sure to interest you. Check back often as we are always adding new activities and opportunities. Join us at the center today – give us a call and get involved!
We hold bingo weekly on Thursdays so join us for lunch at the center starting at 11am and try your luck at bingo starting at 1pm. Games are only $.50 per card and offer an afternoon of fun and friendly competition.
We also offer bingo on the second Saturday of the month. Doors open at 11am and games begin at 12p. Make sure to get here early because we do not allow table saving. Games are only $10/pack of 10 cards and we do not allow pack splitting.
Our center offers many fun activity groups during the week. Our groups are aimed at creating social networks for seniors in a fun and welcoming environment. Groups available include bunco groups, single and double deck pinochle, and more. Please check out calendar for dates and times or give the senior center a call.
A wide variety of crafting groups meet at the center. We offer sewing groups, quilting groups, weavers group and more. New groups are being offered so check our calendar or give the center a call for more information.
We offer recurring art groups and classes led by instructors. Because many of these groups are short-term classes, please give our center a call or check our calendar for updates.
Form a Group
Our center welcomes volunteers. Many of our groups are formed and led by volunteers who had a passion for an activity or hobby. If you have a hobby or interest and would like to lead or form a group at the center, we can help. Our staff is here to support you, offer marketing and promotion and help you get the group launched.
Jackson Women’s Club
Established in 1910, the Woman’s Club of Jackson has dedicated its over 107 year history to the mission of learning more about community services that are in place to meet the needs of local residents, and to recognize what can be done to support those services.
Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month, and there is a speaker for at least seven of these sessions. Meetings begin with lunch at the center and then move to the meeting room at 12:15pm. Guest speakers inform club members about the services their agency provides, and additional assistance needed to maintain those services in the future.
Mother Lode Rose Society
Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30pm from January-November. We proudly maintain the public rose garden located at the center. Special events are held during the year which include flower shows, special speakers and workshops. You can find out more information here at www.motherloderose.org.
